We’ve owned variations of those two in my family.

I had an ‘87 CRX DX in that color scheme, but the ‘86-’87 models had flush headlamps. Mine was slow and an automatic, but fun to fling around corners.

My mom had a ‘75 Civic but the CVCC version, in white. We went across the country in that thing in ‘83 (no A/C in summertime SUUUUUCKS), and it even survived getting hit by a tow truck once on the passenger side. She traded it for a brand-new, extremely-base-model ‘86 Civic hatch that she absolutely loved.

I liked it, but when I asked my mom recently if she missed it she said, “Why? It was pretty much a piece of shit.” When she pointed out all the times it broke down on her, I realized I remembered it fondly because I was a kid at the time and never had to deal with all its problems. She really loved her ‘86 Civic though.

regarding link 2, one of this series went for roughly $2100 here in Oz recently and i thought it was overpriced.
